Interesting home town News

Apparently since I have moved from Sonora, things have changed quite a bit. I have received our local (weekly) paper since I graduated high school and this headline caught my eye. Oh how things have changed.

Got to love the Devil’s River News.

Personal side note: I know the wonderful person who wrote this article and she was mortified that this slipped through, God bless you and thanks for the giggle.

Found MOG at work!! Sweet!!

I was given a great boost at work today. After a early morning meeting with a customer and then some fun pressure washer repairs I found something. That something was a MOG and how nice it is to find one of these at work. In 6.5 years at my job here in San Antonio, I have only run across a few MOG’s and every time it brightens my day.

This Man Of God is a customer of mine and we have know each other for 8 months or so. We do not interact often, but I have been doing a project for their company and so we have been talking more and more. I received a call from him today about said project and during our talk he told me about his faith in what God has been using him for. We had never even breached the subject of faith or church before, but here he was shining his light out into the world and finding me. It encouraged me to step out in my faith more and make sure that those around me know that I give all glory to God and humbly serve him.

Thank you Jesus for giving me a boost this week and reminding me to be a MOG where ever I am.

Soapman Music Videos

Many of you do not know of my immense musical talent, but my older brother Shannon and I got together to sing about our love of Car washes.

While we had the production crew handy we went ahead and made a work out video:

We will be booking gigs next summer.

YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I finished the redo of this sad little blog and hopefully it will inspire me to update more often. Speaking of Blog, My lovely wife has started a new site for her and our little princess. You can check it out here:

Elizabel.com

Life really speeds up the older you get (I’ll be 30 in less than a week), but having a baby sends life into warp speed. It is so amazing watching her grow and seeing her develop right before our eyes. I am blessed enough to have a job that allowed me to take two weeks off to spend with Elizabel. Here are some of the highlights:

So check out her new website and check back here and I’ll be updating more often.

You’re so money baby!

This is what happens when you have the cash from selling your wife’s car, a newborn baby, and a week off work to spend at the house with both.

Arrival of Elizabel (159)

I am not sure that this is good parenting, but it made us laugh.

Elizabel Joy Pool aka “Wiggles” has arrived!!!

This is how the miricle of our baby girl happened as far as my sleep deprived mind can remember. The night before we took a few pictures to remember what her mommy looked like:

Day Before Elizabel was due

We were scheduled to be induced on June 1st around 7 a.m., but Christy’s water broke in the middle of the night. We were off to the hospital at 4 a.m.:

We are going to the hospital

Once at the hospital we did a lot of waiting, we even started to watch a move in our sweet birthing suite:

Not too much action by 7:30 p.m., so we sent all of the family away to get a bite to eat. This was a mistake because by the time they had ordered their food from Clear Springs resturant, our Dr. decided that it would better to go ahead and have a C-section.

Dr. ready for C-section (nice boots)

Well things really started to move then and by 8:37 p.m. our little girl was brought into this world.

First time with Elizabel

Mom holds baby for first time

Then as they took care of Christy, Elizabel and I went on our trip to the nursery and look who we ran into in the hall on the way. . . our big ol’ family!

Grandparents first Visit

After pictures with just about all of our immediate family, we went to the nursery were I (with help) gave her a bath. Daddy duties are awesome!!

Hair washing, the first of millions

While we were getting you all cleaned up, your whole family was watching you just cry your head off thru the window.

After all of this excitement, it was time to get into a room and let mommy heal and the three of us learn about each other.

Knowledge of a Miracle

It is pretty cool that we can sometimes have a view into the future. Christy and I have that opportunity with our “Wiggles.” The Dr. has said that unless she delivers on her own in the next 24 hrs, then she will induce on Friday sometime in the a.m. hours. We are super excited and can’t wait for this to finally be here. Thank you everyone for all of your support, prayers, and hints, they have been awesome. I guess on Friday I will finally have and answer to:

“Boy or Girl??”

“What are the names you have picked?”

“Is it yours?”

That last one was just to see if your still paying attention. Please continue to pray for us, we know that we have been in God’s arms through out this pregnacy. In my next post, we will be a family of three. . . . that is wild!!

I’m Back (with Pictures)

Wow, I really hit that goal of posting at least one time each week, DANG! Well, I figured that the only way to make it up to all of my loyal and adoring fans (mom and one friend), was to post some pictures of my wonderful wife. These pictures were taken when she was about 29 weeks. Enjoy!

Clocky

I found this in an article and had to share it with everyone. I can see this thing flying through my window after only a few days. Really I’m just jealous that I didn’t invent it. Check it out, his name is “Clocky”:

If someone buys me this thing, I might rethink our friendship.
I almost forgot:

“Chuck Norris puts the laughter in manslaughter.”

Hog Pit

Going to school in College Station afforded me the opportunity to see many great country music artist, little did I know that one of the guys that was watching the shows with me was taking notes. Ben Taylor is one of my childhood friends and we went to Texas A&M together. I graduated and became a soapman, but Ben decided to stay in school and is now working on his PhD. To keep from going crazy he learned how to play guitar and sing, what makes me sick is that he is good at it. This weekend I went to Midland to watch him perform in a place called The Hog Pit as the opening act for Cody Davidson , it was a ball. So I guess when he gets his PhD, I’ll have to call him Dr. County Music Star!! Good Job Ben!
